What’s The Hype?
A Mill Valley institution since 1983, West America Martial Arts is a family-run dojo founded by Master Roger Carlon and built around much more than learning how to kick. Their traditional Tae Kwon Do training combines seriously experienced instruction with a welcoming, family-like community where students are challenged to grow both on and off the mat. Master Roger Carlon’s children Roger and Chantal have continued to legacy and are part of the village helping to raise really good humans.

This one is HYPED IRL. West America is part of our family's real life, and what I love most is that it isn't just about Tae Kwon Do. Kids are expected to work hard, respect their instructors and each other, keep going when something is difficult and become part of a community that genuinely feels like a family. This is the kind of local place I want everyone to know exists.
